"In pursuit of the moon's shadow - the Bulgarian expedition to Mexico"

On May 16, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the Star Hall of the Smolyan Planetarium, Head Assit. Prof. Milen Minev will present footage and personal impressions of the last solar eclipse.
The Bulgarian team at the Institute of Astronomy with the National Astronomical Observatory at the BAS observed the eclipse from the city of Monclova, Mexico, on April 8, 2024. The full phase of the astronomical phenomenon lasted about four minutes, during which scientists were able to conduct several scientific experiments.
